About Senanayake Tours
We plan unhurried Sri Lanka trips: culture in the cool hours, wildlife at dawn, and beaches chosen for the month you actually travel.
The route follows your pace. Mornings for ruins, afternoons left open.
One conversation, a clear quote, and the car waiting when you land.
Why Senanayake Tours
A private car, a driver-guide who knows the roads, and a day you can change when the light is better somewhere else.
Driver-guides who grew up on these roads. They know when a temple is quiet and which beach is worth the extra hour.
Your own vehicle. Stop for a king coconut, stay longer at a viewpoint, or rewrite the afternoon.
No shared coach and no fixed script. We build the route from how you like to travel.
Custom trips
Dates, pace, and the things you refuse to miss. We answer with a route and a clear quote.
Design your journeyShort excursions
Yala
A private jeep and tracker in the park with the highest chance of leopards, plus elephants and sloth bears.
Mirissa
A dawn departure to look for blue whales and dolphins, back in time for a quiet afternoon.
Ella
The scenic railway through tea country, Nine Arches Bridge, and a short walk above the valley.
Transfers
We meet you in arrivals and drive anywhere on the island. Flight delays are watched so the car is there when you are.
A name board in arrivals, not a shared shuttle queue.
If the plane is late, the driver stays with it.
Airport, hotel, or a beach town, day or night.
Guest notes
“Hiring a private driver was the decision that made the trip. Patient, full of good ideas, and happy to leave the plan when the light was better somewhere else.”
Amsterdam · 10 Day Island in Full
“The country is dense with things to see. Having someone local to sequence the days — and to get us on the right train — made a week feel generous, not rushed.”
London · 7 Day Kingdoms & Coast
“On time at arrivals after a night flight, name board easy to spot, car cool and quiet. The right first hour in a new country.”
Zurich · Airport transfer
“We saw a leopard before breakfast and were on an empty beach by lunch the next day. The handoff between safari and coast was seamless.”
Singapore · 4 Day Wild South
“The Ella line lived up to the photographs. Our driver met us at the station with tea and a smarter route back than the one we had sketched.”
Stockholm · 5 Day Tea & Trains
“We asked for food, forts, and no 5 a.m. starts. The itinerary respected that, and still fit in Sigiriya because they timed it properly.”

Questions
The things guests ask before the first conversation.
Yes. Every journey is private: your own vehicle and driver-guide. Day trips such as safaris and whale boats may use a shared jeep or boat, and we say so before you book.
The west and south coasts are driest from December to March. The east coast is at its best from May to September. The cultural triangle and hill country can be visited year-round, with cooler nights in the hills.
Yes. We meet you in the arrivals hall and drive you anywhere on the island — or collect you from a hotel for a departure. Flight tracking is included.
That is the usual way we work. Tell us dates, pace, and interests, and we reply with a route, a hotel outline, and a clear quote.
Air-conditioned sedans for up to three guests, SUVs for up to four, and vans for families or groups up to seven. Child seats can be requested.
Private touring and transfers are priced per vehicle, not per seat. Park tickets, trains, and some activities are per person and are listed separately.
Yes. We suggest places we have stayed guests in — boutique forts, tea bungalows, and quiet beach hotels — and book them as part of the trip if you want.
A deposit holds the vehicle and hotels. The balance is due before arrival by bank transfer or card. Entrance fees on the road can be paid locally in cash.
